Vena Cava, we love you still
While despite our confirmation, the show was overly full and we weren’t able to get, it was still an undeniably beautiful season at Vena Cava. For Spring, Lisa Mayock and Sophie Buhai, the astute and clever designers behind the tour-de-force label completely styled and referenced the 70's St Trope. Hair was slicked back and often, in head wraps and makeup was heavy and unblended. Disco Style! The line featured stately constructed halter tops in silk paired with high-waisted flowing trousers and equally streaming skirts. The color palette was a continuous marriage of taupe and vivid red. Despite the poor planning and not witnessing the show first hand, we can’t help but love spring 2011 at Vena Cava.
