Chicago auction house Leslie Hindman offers an unforgettable vintage "shopping" experience
Over the years, Leslie Hindman Auctioneers has become known for their highly attended vintage couture and accessories auctions. On Thursday, September 16th, the famed Chicago auction house will be showcasing yet another incredible collection from some of the world's most exquisite designers.
Items from the estate of the late Mrs. Eunice W. Johnson (whose family publishes Ebony and Jet magazines) have been on exhibit since September 11th and were recentlyl be sold off via live auction on the evening of September 16th. A widely-respected philanthropist, Mrs. Johnson's expansive collection included pieces of luxurious fabrics, furs and extraordinary jewelry. Among other things, attendees bid over evening wear from Oscar de la Renta and Bill Blass, bags from Chanel and silk scarves from the fashion house of Salvatore Ferragamo.
