Tradition, elegance, and some BIG stones shape Ivanka Trump's jewelry line
Trump. The family name is synonymous with wealth, power and prestige. And Donald Trump, the patriarch of this dynasty has raised a daughter who has proven herself a worthy heiress and capable of continuing the legacy of the Trump scion. Working intently on her father’s real estate developments, including the successful Trump Tower in Chicago, Ivanka Trump has earned a reputation as a brilliant business woman in her own right. And Ms. Trump is no wall-flower; she’s used her own youthful and beautiful image to promote the Trump brand, becoming a style icon, a fashion insider— with the unusual twist of unbridled business acumen. This includes the creation of her own eponymous jewelry line.
This week she was at the Trump Tower to promote the line, sold at Marshall Pierce & Co jewelers in Chicago. During a champagne soiree, pieces from the collection were on display behind well-tended glass cases. Ivanka spoke briefly with unflappable poise and a remarkable candor, demonstrating that she is far from a smoke and mirror illusion, and truly a woman of impressive intelligence.

Like Ivanka Trump, the gemstones were also impressive. Prodigious stone earrings, cocktail rings, and necklaces were heavy in light-refracting diamonds or opaque stones. There were, however; more delicate pieces which included tassels and finer, looping chains. A sense of modernism and an awareness of her own youth is wisely present in the pieces, which appeal to young and older women alike. There’s a timeless elegance to each item and the collection easily spans generations of women from youthful actresses, to Ivanka herself, to older socialites.
The collection is very much in line with the public persona that Ivanka Trump keeps: timelessly beautiful, polished beyond reproach, and of superb pedigree. About her collection she writes:
“My dream for this collection is that it will appeal to women who have a strong sense of themselves, know what they like, value exquisite workmanship and wear even the most important jewelry with a kind of off-handed elegance. They have a sense of tradition, but they like to go their own way. They appreciate quality, but won’t tolerate stuffiness. They have everything, yet they have nothing to prove.”
There’s nothing like wearing a colossal grouping of gleaming diamonds to prove your worth to others and yourself. These are statement pieces, to be sure.
Price points are concentrated within a range from $2,000 to $20,000, with entry level prices starting at $550 and extending in excess of $1 million.
