Kirkwood’s statement-making shoes have walked the runways of Ghost, John Rocha, Erdem, Rodarte, Pollini and more. And, when the world’s most fashionable fictional character, Alice was brought to life, Kirkwood was the go-to designer. He created a breath-taking, fantastical pair that sent Alice off to Wonderland in appropriate style.
Based in London, Kirkwood was one of the first to recognize the need for high fashion footwear that could compliment extravagant designs from the uber-creative caste, such as Alexander McQueen and the Rodarte sisters. Using runway footwear as a starting point, he now produces his own small batch collections, which are entirely whimsical and imaginative to an extreme. The fashion world has embraced Kirkwood’s creativity with open arms and the list of accolades and buzz surrounding the designer continues to run as wild as his imagination.
